The hotel is located on the west coast of the Cape in Falmouth, slipping a bit in recent years but still offering a beautiful beachfront location near many local attractions. The rooms come with an expensive 'upgrade' option for an ocean view and guests have to use the staircase since there is no elevator. The service exceeded our expectations with the onsite restaurant and staff taking care of everything needed, even arranging an early check-in. However, the hotel has locked down access to pools to prevent unattended children. Dining is included in the room rate, offering pretty good options, but some concerns arise during lunch with shared utensils.

Rooms

The 'upgrade' for ocean views was pricey, and the access via staircase without an elevator is a drawback.
Service

The service went over our expectations with attentive staff arranging early check-in and taking care of everything.

The hotel had a mix of positives and negatives. The rooms were a bit noisy with delivery trucks passing by outside my window early in the morning. Although outdated and showing signs of wear, they were still nice. The bathroom, in particular, needed some attention. Overall, the place needed a refurbishment, but they did switch me to a different room.

Rooms
6.0
The rooms were a bit noisy with delivery trucks passing by outside my first-floor window at 6 am every morning. They were outdated and showed signs of wear, especially the bathroom.
Service
7.0
The service was a mix. While some staff members were very hardworking and friendly, others were rude and unhelpful. I did appreciate the welcome drink upon arrival.
Location
7.0
The location worked well for me with plenty of places to gather. However, it was a bit narrow and challenging to access during busy times. On the upside, the room was clean and welcoming. Unfortunately, I could hear all the activity from the indoor pool and the creaky door to the building from outside.
Dining
7.0
The dining experience had its ups and downs. The food was good, but the breakfast lacked consistency. Prices were reasonable, $14 for continental and $19 for a full breakfast. There was a disappointing $28 buffet with very limited options.
Facilities
6.0
The facilities were adequate, but there was room for improvement. Some parts were showing signs of wear and could use upgrades.

My stay at the hotel was a mixed experience. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the friendly staff added to the pleasant atmosphere. However, the high humidity in the rooms made our clothes, towels, and bedding damp, which was quite inconvenient. On the bright side, the hotel location was excellent, right on the beach providing beautiful views of marine traffic, but there were some disappointments with the dining options being overpriced and limited.

Rooms
7.0
The rooms, although outdated, were very clean and comfortable, offering plenty of light. The summer staff from Eastern Europe added a nice touch to the service. However, the high humidity in the rooms was a major downside as our belongings ended up wet.
Service
9.0
The service was wonderful, with very professional and helpful staff. However, there was a peculiar incident with umbrellas being taken down unnecessarily due to wind concerns when there was no actual wind at the time.
Location
8.0
The location of the hotel was stellar, being right on the beach of Buzzards Bay. The views of marine traffic and the beautiful beach were outstanding. Unfortunately, the pool had to close for repair work on the Sunday we had planned to use it, which was disappointing.
Dining
6.0
The dining experience was a bit of a letdown due to the high prices and limited selection. The buffet being overpriced with little variety was a downside. On a positive note, the gourmet salads were a highlight.
Facilities
8.0
The facilities, including the breakfast and RED'S restaurant, were great, with a nice atmosphere. However, the pricing for the dining options seemed a bit steep for what was offered.
